Bridging the Gap: Gujarat's New Rs 910 Cr Healthcare Lifeline

In a major boost to healthcare infrastructure, the Gujarat Chief Minister inaugurated the UNM Transitional Hospital and laid the foundation stone for an advanced 800-bed hospital and a 150-seat medical college campus under a public-private partnership (PPP) in Vyara, Tapi district.

Spearheaded by the UNM Foundation with an investment of Rs 910 crore, the initiative transforms the local general hospital into a modern medical hub. Equipped with dialysis units and advanced diagnostic labs, the facility will deliver high-quality healthcare to over 800,000 residents across Tapi and neighboring tribal communities near the Gujarat-Maharashtra border.
